About the Forum
  • The first OH-FINE Forum, was held in Zamora, Spain, alongside the Ecocultura fair. The forum served as a central milestone for fostering Knowledge exchange, identifying stakeholder needs, and building the foundations of the OH-FINE Organic Farming Learning Community. The forum brought together a diverse audience of participants representing 30 countries and a wide range of stakeholders, including farmers, advisors, researchers, educators, NGOs, and policymakers.
  • The first OH-FINE Forum explored what regenerative and organic farming means and how it can restore soils, boost biodiversity and increase the profitability of farms. Through real stories from farmers, participants gained insights into different organic systems and the challenges they face today. Together, we tackled key debates—from greenwashing to EU policy—while also looking at the vital role of consumers in shaping a more sustainable food system. The programme combined inspiring talks with practical workshops on soil health, livestock integration, opportunities for young farmers, and European networking.
  • The workshops generated valuable inputs for future OH-FINE activities, including the need for context specific regenerative solutions, stronger farmer-to-farmer knowledge exchange, improved access to technology, reduced administrative barriers, and targeted support for young entrants into agriculture. The workshop with European project coordinators revealed strong potential for future collaboration, joint dissemination, and data sharing.
